The central church space features a vast, white Neoclassical interior. This design contrasts sharply with the textured exterior of the building. The cathedral measures approximately 102 meters (335 feet) long and holds quiet chapels and a unique 19th-century sundial.

You must follow the strict dress code to enter this area. Guards require all visitors to cover their shoulders and knees. Dress Code Rules

The Nave and Apse

10-15 minsNeoclassical style

Ferdinando Fuga designed this bright Neoclassical interior in the late 18th century. The white open space differs vastly from the building's earlier architectural phases. Before you go inside, look at the exterior apse to spot the original 12th-century Norman details.
